Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - No Spoilers

It's Sunday at midnight. I just finished reading the new Harry Potter. I loved it.

Without giving any spoilers, have any of the rest of you finished it yet? Please share your immediate gut reaction.

I also really enjoyed it. I was worried about her prediction of killing off major characters, but I really liked how she handled it. Of course, I had a good cry, also.

Me too! I was glad my husband and boys weren't home while I SOBBED! I just saw "HP and the Order of the Phoenix" for the second time, and now that I've read book 7 I understood why so many more things happened as they did in the movie. Very talented writing on the parts of both Rowling and the screenwriter.

Well I had an interesting time reading #7. I was going to enjoy reading this book over the next few weeks but Monday night I started reading at 9:00p.m. at page 150 and at 1:00a.m. I thought I better go to bed but I couldn't put it down. At 6 a.m. I thought well I might as well finish the book now. With my heart racing as I read each page I finished the book Tuesday at noon. Needless to say I was very tired Tuesday night. I am glad I finished I had a paper to write for my Shakespeare class. It was a great book. I thought it was never going to stop and get to that final climax every chapter had something going on that made my heart race a million miles an hour. Now I am on to another book but this one I can enjoy slowly, At least until I get half way through it. I hope! Happy reading everyone.

Did any of you see the article in the DNews where the writer suggested that Harry wasn't a good hero because he didn't have a real moral dilemma. The writer thought Snape was a better hero because he did. I'm not sure I agree....

I just finished it a few days ago. I listened to it on my iPod while visiting the inlaws, so I couldn't spend as much time with it as I wanted. I, too, was very sad, especially at the end when I knew that that was it--there would be no more books in the series. So in addition to mourning the characters who had been killed, I was also mourning the end of the series.
